Kyle Loven is a highly respected and experienced global security, investigations, and law enforcement professional with a lengthy and distinguished career in both the private and public sectors.
Kyle Loven spent his public service in the FBI spanning over twenty years, during which he held a variety of roles. Kyle has an accomplished legal background and brings a diverse breadth of expertise to 360. From December of 2004 to September of 2017, Kyle was accountable for all aspects of Legal, Community Outreach, Media, and Asset Forfeiture operations, programs, and staff across a 3-state region. Kyle served as the principal Ethics, Corporate Policy, Privacy, and Compliance Council official and key advisor. He also managed all legal, compliance, privacy, and ethics communication, correspondence, and reporting, and served as the principal internal and external point-of contact for Minneapolis. As Special Assistant US Attorney for the District of Minnesota, Kyle played an instrumental role in managing litigation filed against the FBI, working in close partnership with the US Attorney. Kyle provided guidance and counsel with respect to several, high profile FBI investigations, which included: the al-Shabaab terror financing and Somali Traveler investigations; the Tom Petters fraud investigation; and the Jacob Wetterling abduction/murder investigation.
Moreover, Kyle was selected to serve as the FBI Acting Legal Attaché to US Embassy in Singapore in 2009, supporting FBI operations in Singapore, Brunei, and Diego Garcia. He also traveled to Hungary, El Salvador, and Kazakhstan to instruct foreign professionals within International Law Enforcement Academies on Public Corruption, Ethics and Money Laundering, and Asset Forfeiture matters. He served in a supervisory and legal liaison role to the Israeli security agency, Shin Bet, traveling to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem during a terror financing disruption operation. Kyle received the InfraGard Coordinator Award and the FBI’s ‘Certificate of Achievement’ for exemplary performance as both the Chief Division Counsel and Media Coordinator for the Minneapolis Division.
Following his career in the FBI, Kyle served in several private sector organizations to include; National Director for Computer Forensic Services, Corporate Director of Safety/Security for Radisson Hotel Group Americas, and Head of Global Security for Yugo. Kyle’s private sector experience involved; compliance and policy related coordination, guidance and strategic direction on cyber security matters, internal investigations, regulatory requirements, and litigation strategies. Moreover, Kyle led safety/security initiatives and addressed matters involving; criminal events, natural disasters, significant property and casualty claims, employee misconduct, and internal/regulatory/state/federal compliance issues.
Kyle is versed in training and counseling to clients on a wide range of topics, including; cybersecurity, compliance, internal investigations, and other safety & security ‘best practices’. Kyle was featured in the January 2018 edition of Upsize Magazine for his publication of “Preparing for a breach: Hackers target organizations of any size”.
Kyle is admitted to the US Supreme Court & Minnesota State Bar Association. His professional service and associations have included; Board member - Minnesota Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board, Assistant Adjunct Professor - University of St. Thomas School of Law, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Instructor - Minnesota Continuing Legal Education, Hennepin County Bar Association, American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS International), International Security Managers Association (ISMA), and the American Hotel & Lodging Association – Safety & Security Council.
Kyle received his Juris Doctorate (JD) from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law, Saint Paul, Minnesota and his undergraduate Bachelor of Science Degree from Saint John’s University, Collegeville, Minnesota. Kyle is a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) – Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics and was the former FBI InfraGard Coordinator for Minnesota, North Dakota, & South Dakota.
