Tim’s investigative and security career spans 30 years of diverse experience in federal law enforcement, municipal investigations, and the insurance industry. Tim spent 20 years in the U.S. Secret Service (USSS) with assignments in Washington, DC, Chicago, and Milwaukee, where he earned leadership roles while detailed to the Vice-Presidential Protective Division. Tim coordinated complex security logistics in collaboration with White House officials, military operation groups, private sector partners, and local law enforcement partners. Tim has experience in all aspects of security operations including vulnerability and threat assessments, protective intelligence, emergency response plans, domestic and international security advances, and counter-surveillance techniques.

Tim supervised several USSS investigative groups in Milwaukee and Chicago including Financial Crimes, Asset Forfeiture, and Protective Intelligence where Tim managed and conducted behavioral threat assessments to prevent targeted violence and other negative outcomes. Tim also held a leadership position for the NATO Summit, a National Special Security Event (NSSE) held in Chicago, Illinois, leading the incident-free planning, implementation, and execution of the complex security operation for all transportation-related logistics and the secure movement of 43 heads of state, and 140 foreign ministers & defense ministers.

Following his successful career with the USSS, Tim went on to join the Office of Inspector General (OIG), US Postal Service (USPS), Wisconsin District, where he conducted internal workplace investigations with the mission of ensuring efficiency, accountability, and integrity within the USPS. Tim managed confidential workplace investigations involving sensitive, employee-related misconduct with a focus on protecting employees who reported violations (Whistleblower Protection), identifying wrongdoing, analyzing trends, conducting interviews, and finding corrective and/or mitigating solutions. Aside from cases involving theft, fraud, and harassment, Tim was the lead investigator for a Congressional Inquiry related to the 2020 Presidential Election for alleged absentee voter ballot misconduct in the Wisconsin District.

Tim has additional experience with the City of Chicago, Office of Inspector General, where he conducted non-partisan, highly sensitive internal investigations to promote efficiency and identify corruption, waste, and mismanagement in Chicago government. Tim also has experience in the insurance industry where he investigated and analyzed commercial general liability claims and gained expert knowledge in tort law, civil procedures, premise liability, contract law, risk management, and litigation management strategies.

Tim received his bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Criminology from Northern Illinois University. Tim graduated from the US Secret Service James J. Rowley Training Center, Beltsville, MD, and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, Glynco, GA. Throughout his career, Tim has received specialized training in vulnerability and threat assessments, building security, active shooter training, workplace investigations, interviewing techniques, and cybercrime. Tim has received numerous awards for his investigative and protective efforts throughout his career and is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS).
